The Rich Whiskey is an amalgam of three lifelong musicians and numerous influences. Our sound encompasses rock, funk, jazz, and more. Formed in 2006, we have been performing since their inception.
Our setlist goes across the board but we aim our sound towards modern rock and classic rock. With one set ranging from "Bombtrack" by Rage Against The Machine, to slow dancing with Marvin Gaye's "Lets Get It On", and rounding the set up with "Highway to the Danger Zone". Needless to say we aim to keep the women dancing and the guys buying drinks.
One of our routines is that for every request we perform we get a round of Jagers. Typically we do about 6 requests a night. I wont tell you exactly where all that booze goes, but I will tell you it gets ingested.
Jon Wade: Born in 1982 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Jon was raised in the music business by father Cabot Wade of Smith-Wade Band. Throughout the 90's Jon was in the Colonial Williamsburg Fife and Drum Corps to learn the craft for a lifetime trade. Jon has worked as a drummer for Carnival Cruise Lines, Up with People, Smith-Wade Band, Anniversary Voices as a drummer on the 400th Anniversary tour, and other local bands. As the drummer and a singer in Rich Whiskey, Jon finds himself right at home.
Mike Orlando: Born 1982 in Ossining, New York. Michael grew up with music in his blood. His father was a guitarist and a singer, playing in local bands in New York. Michael as a teenager fell in love with hard rock and heavy metal music. Playing in bands since he was a teenager, Mike was in Ozone Patch, the Bee's Knee's, and toured with the Anniversary Voices. Now resides in Rich Whiskey as a guitarist/vocalist.
Scott Orlando: Born in 1985 in Ossening, New York. He grew up engulfed in music with father and brother. Scott was mentored by Isley Brother drummer Everett Collins and played in Long Island based marching band Drummers with Attitudes. Toured the east coast with Mike and Jon as a part of Anniversary Voices. Scott also lent his skills to groups such as Ozone Patch and Bee's Knee's, but is settled in to Rich Whiskey as Bass Guitarist/Vocalist.
